Dakon Construction was founded on April 1st of 1989. At the present time, Dakon is situated with one office in the Waterloo region area and employs a staff of over 40 - both in the office and in the field. Since 1989, Dakon has built an outstanding reputation in the construction industry, working with clients and consultants from all over Southern Ontario.

Dakon Construction Limited is a non-union general contracting firm providing Project Management, Construction Management, General Contracting, and Design Build Construction to the Southern Ontario region, specializing in commercial, industrial and institutional construction.
Dakon Construction was founded on April 1st of 1989 by Dennis Kuepfer. Located in a small office in unit 6 of 105 Baffin Place in Waterloo, Dakon Construction began in the Construction industry serving Kitchener-Waterloo with industrial, commercial, and institutional construction. As Dakon Construction continued to grow, we moved into a much larger facility down the road, located at 1-275 Frobisher Drive in Waterloo. This location offered a much larger office space for the staff and a large shop in the back to accommodate all of the equipment, tools, and provide storage space in order to properly provide to our clients and customers.
At the present time, still located on Frobisher Drive in Waterloo, Dakon Construction employs a staff of over 40, both in office and in the field. In the office there are 5 project managers / estimators, 1 project coordinator / health & safety representative, and 2 administrative staff. In the field there are 12 site superintendents, 15 licensed carpenters, and numerous general labourers. Each of the site superintendents / supervisors, as well as the carpenters and labourers have been trained in many health & safety programs including WHMIS, fall arrest, propane handling, first aid & CPR, elevated platforms, etc. Many of the senior field staff have been with the company for 5-10 years and bring with them many years of experience in the construction industry. In the office, 3 of the 6 project managers (James Kuepfer - Vice President, Ryan Turk – Vice President, and Steven Bithell – Vice President) are LEED AP Certified by the Canada Green Building Council, and Steve Bithell & Dennis Kuepfer have been awarded Gold Seal Certificates by the Canadian Construction Association.
